This Cookie Policy explains how CARMEPX (“CARMEPX,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit www.carmepx.com, use a CARMEPX booking or payment page, interact with an embedded form or video, or otherwise use a CARMEPX online service that links to this Policy.
This Policy applies to CARMEPX only. It should be read together with the CARMEPX Privacy Policy and Website Terms of Use. Paid vehicle-inspection services are separately governed by the CARMEPX Vehicle Inspection Terms of Service.

1. Scope of This Policy
This Cookie Policy applies to cookies, software development kits, pixels, tags, local storage, session storage, web beacons, embedded scripts, device identifiers, and similar technologies used on CARMEPX websites, forms, booking pages, payment pages, customer portals, and other online services that link to this Policy.
A third-party website or service reached through a CARMEPX link may use its own cookies and tracking technologies under its own policies. CARMEPX does not control technologies placed solely by an unrelated third party after you leave the CARMEPX website.
2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are
Cookies: small text files or data records stored on a browser or device. Cookies may recognize a browser, preserve a session, remember choices, prevent fraud, measure website activity, or support advertising.
Pixels and tags: small code elements that may record whether a page, email, advertisement, or link was viewed or selected and may transmit information to a service provider.
Local and session storage: browser-based storage that may retain information during a visit or across visits, depending on the technology and your settings.
Software development kits and embedded scripts: code supplied by CARMEPX or a service provider to support forms, payments, video, maps, analytics, security, and related functions.
Session technologies: technologies generally deleted or made inactive when a browser session ends.
Persistent technologies: technologies that remain for a defined period or until deleted, depending on the provider, browser settings, and user choices.
3. Why CARMEPX Uses These Technologies
CARMEPX may use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Operate website navigation, forms, checkout, payment, login, customer-support, and account features.
- Protect the website, prevent fraud, detect malicious activity, balance traffic, and maintain session integrity.
- Remember language, region, accessibility, cookie, form, and display preferences.
- Understand page visits, referral sources, errors, loading performance, and how visitors use the website.
- Improve website content, booking flows, report delivery, advertising efficiency, and customer experience.
- Measure marketing campaigns and, only when enabled and permitted, deliver or evaluate targeted advertising.
- Display or operate third-party content such as videos, maps, forms, payment tools, and customer-support widgets.

5. Cookie and Technology Inventory
The technologies used by CARMEPX may change as the website, booking process, payment tools, and service providers change. The following table describes the current or reasonably expected technology groups. A provider listed below is active only when that provider or feature is actually installed or enabled on the CARMEPX website.

Cookie names, providers, purposes, and durations can change without CARMEPX directly controlling the change. The CARMEPX cookie-preference center should display the most current detected cookie list. If the preference center conflicts with this general table, the current detected list controls for the technology actually present.
6. Third-Party Technologies and Embedded Content
Third parties that provide payments, hosting, security, analytics, forms, maps, videos, advertising, or customer-support tools may receive device, browser, network, transaction, or interaction information when their services are used. These providers may process information under their own privacy and cookie policies.
CARMEPX selects and configures service providers for operational purposes, but CARMEPX does not control every change a third party makes to its technology. Where practical, CARMEPX will use privacy-enhanced settings, restrict nonessential technologies until the required consent is obtained, and periodically review the active technologies.
A payment provider may use security or fraud-prevention technologies even when optional analytics or advertising technologies are rejected. Disabling those strictly necessary technologies may prevent payment or booking completion.
7. Your Cookie Choices
You may manage cookies and similar technologies through one or more of the following methods:
- Cookie banner: select “Accept All,” “Reject Nonessential,” or “Customize” when the banner appears.
- Cookie preference center: reopen “Cookie Settings” from the website footer and change optional categories at any time.
- Browser settings: block, delete, or receive alerts about cookies through your browser controls.
- Device settings: limit advertising identifiers, location permissions, or tracking through operating-system settings.
- Privacy request: use www.carmepx.com/privacy-request or email privacy@carmepx.com for an applicable privacy request.
- Marketing opt-out: use the unsubscribe or opt-out method provided in the relevant communication.
Rejecting or withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before the choice was changed. Your choice may be limited to the browser, device, account, or domain on which it was made. You may need to repeat the choice after clearing browser storage, using a different device, or using a private browsing session.
Strictly necessary technologies cannot be disabled through the CARMEPX preference center because they support security or a service you request. You may still block them through your browser, but parts of the website, booking process, or payment process may stop working.
8. Sale, Sharing, Targeted Advertising, and Privacy Signals
CARMEPX does not sell personal information for money. If CARMEPX uses advertising or analytics technologies in a manner that applicable law treats as a sale, sharing, or processing for targeted advertising, eligible users may opt out through the cookie-preference center, a “Your Privacy Choices” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link when legally required, or the CARMEPX privacy-request process.
Where legally required and technically supported, CARMEPX will treat a recognized browser-based universal opt-out signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as an opt-out request for the browser or device transmitting the signal. A signal may not apply to a different browser, device, or logged-in account unless CARMEPX can reasonably associate the request with that account as required by law.
CARMEPX does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under sixteen years of age for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. Browser Controls and Do Not Track
Most browsers allow users to view, delete, block, or limit cookies. Browser controls differ, and disabling cookies may affect website functions. Consult the browser or device help documentation for current instructions.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no single universally accepted technical standard governing every Do Not Track signal, CARMEPX does not promise to respond to all such signals. CARMEPX will respond to legally recognized universal opt-out mechanisms as described in Section 8.
10. Information Collected Through Cookies
Depending on the technology and your selections, cookie-related information may include:
- IP address and approximate location derived from the IP address.
- Browser, device, operating system, screen, and language information.
- Cookie, session, advertising, consent, and device identifiers.
- Pages viewed, links selected, time and date, referral source, search terms, and navigation path.
- Form, booking, checkout, video, map, or customer-support interactions.
- Website errors, loading time, performance data, security events, and fraud signals.
- Campaign, advertisement, conversion, and attribution information when advertising technologies are enabled.
- Privacy choices and the version of the policy or consent notice presented.
CARMEPX may combine cookie-related information with booking, account, payment-status, or service information when reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, secure the website, analyze service performance, maintain consent records, or comply with law. 11. Retention and Security
Cookie durations vary by purpose and provider. Session technologies generally expire when the session ends. Persistent technologies remain until their stated expiration, deletion, withdrawal of consent, or replacement. CARMEPX may retain consent records and security logs longer when reasonably necessary to demonstrate compliance, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or comply with law.
CARMEPX uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information collected through the website. No browser, transmission, website, or storage system is completely secure, and CARMEPX cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s Privacy
CARMEPX vehicle-inspection and booking services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under thirteen years of age. CARMEPX does not knowingly use cookies to collect personal information from children under thirteen for targeted advertising. If CARMEPX learns that personal information was collected from a child in violation of applicable law, CARMEPX will take reasonable steps to delete or otherwise address it.
13. Changes to This Cookie Policy
CARMEPX may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in technology, service providers, website features, law, or business operations. The “Last Updated” date and document version identify the current version. If a change materially affects an existing consent choice, CARMEPX may request a new choice or provide additional notice as required by law.
